‘Cypriot Society and Art’
A Journey from the 1930s to the 1970s.
Through selected works from the Cyprus Collection of the A. G. Leventis Gallery, we will explore representations of Cypriot society in art, as well as the influence of the social and cultural concerns of the time on the development of modern Cypriot art.
Works by Adamantios Diamantis, Telemachos Kanthos, Michael Michaeledes, George Pol. Georghiou, Loukia Nicolaidou-Vassiliou and Christoforos Savva take us on a journey from the 1930s to the 1970s, revealing different aspects of society and artistic creation in Cyprus.
