ΣΗΜΕιΩΣΗ: Φέρει διακριτικό αδελφών Goncourt [Lugt 1089] (κάτω δεξιά προς το μέσον). Έως πρόσφατα ήταν τοποθετημένο σε μεταγενέστερο πλαίσιο με λαζούρα, με ζωγραφισμένη επιγραφή που έφερε το όνομα και τις χρονολογίες του καλλιτέχνη [;].
ΠΡΟΕΛΕΥΣΗ: Αποκτήθηκε από τους Edmond (1822-1896) και Jules (1830-1870) de Goncourt πριν από το 1857· μετά θάνατον πώληση του Edmond de Goncourt, Hôtel Drouot, Παρίσι, 16 Φεβρουαρίου 1897, αρ. δημ. 129, αποκτήθηκε από τον Brame fils· ανώνυμη πώληση, Christie’s, Λονδίνο, 2 Δεκεμβρίου 1926, αρ. δημ. 55, το αγόρασε ο «Mudde»· ανώνυμη πώληση, Christie’s, Λονδίνο, 20 Μαρτίου 1973, αρ. δημ. 121, αγοράστηκε από τον Frank Partridge, από τον οποίο το προμηθεύτηκε ο Α. Γ. Λεβέντης.
