Interactive Guided Tours: Discovering the Collections of the A. G. Leventis Gallery

The A. G. Leventis Gallery offers interactive guided tours for secondary school students, designed to encourage active participation, critical thinking and meaningful dialogue through art.

Through close observation, discussion and the exploration of selected artworks, students discover three of the Gallery’s permanent Collections and gain an insight into different periods of art history, artistic movements and influential artists. Each tour is tailored to the age and interests of the group, offering an engaging, participatory and enriching learning experience.

Guided tours can be adapted to the needs of each school group or designed around specific themes and curriculum objectives, strengthening the connection between art and classroom learning.

Teachers may choose to explore one or two of the Gallery’s three following permanent Collections:

Cyprus Collection

A journey into Cypriot artistic creation, through the works of the first Cypriot artists, who laid the foundations for contemporary Cypriot art.

Greek Collection

An introduction to modern Greek art beginning in the mid-19th century with the establishment of the newly formed Greek state and reaching up to the 1970s.

Paris Collection

A fascinating journey through the highlights of Western art history, from the Old Masters of the 15th century to the early expressions of modernism in the 20th century.

Duration: 30-60 minutes – all educational programmes begin at 10.00 onwards
