School Trips & Programmes

Young Artists

An educational programme that takes as its starting point the Paris Collection of the A. G. Leventis Gallery and aspires to awaken children’s imagination and strengthen their relationship with art.

The aim of the programme is for children to learn about the Paris Collection and how it was created, to discover and interact with selected paintings from it and to create their own unique artworks in Renoir’s Workshop.

The paintings included in the programme are the following (selection of one painting):

1. Regatta in the Channel, Raoul Dufy
Flags, boats and a restless sea. What could all these boats be doing on such a vibrant green sea? Together we will learn about the painter Raoul Dufy, the art movement of Fauvism and, in a magical and special way using our imagination and sounds, we will bring this colourful painting to life.

2. The Barge at Samois, Paul Signac
A boat, the sunset reflecting on the water and hundreds of colourful dots. Together we will learn about the painter Paul Signac, the technique of Pointillism and, in a magical and special way using our imagination and sounds, we will bring this colourful painting to life.

3. Engaged Couple with Bouquet, Marc Chagall
Two figures, one blue and one red, a rising sun, a cart and a rooster. What could all these images symbolise? Together we will learn about the painter Marc Chagall and the unique, imaginative and symbolic world that he managed to depict in a kingdom of colours.
